Fun and Sporty Summer Job at Beaches CC!

Want a chance to gain experience working with people and spend time at the beach?   Beaches Community Centre has an opening for a summer employee. 

We are looking for a summer Sports Activities Coordinator

Applicants must be a Canadian Citizen between the ages of 15-30.

The successful applicant will provide programming for adults and children for sporting (Fitness, pickleball, basketball etc) and cultural events (Farmers Market, Summer Winds, crafts etc) for 8 weeks beginning July 2nd. (35 hours per week @ $18 per hour)

Tasks: 

-collect fees 

-set up and take down of equipment 

-planning with stakeholders

-promoting and implementing regularly scheduled events 

-collaborating to create and implement tournaments. 

The applicant will also be tasked with minor maintenance, like cutting grass, small paint jobs and cleaning when not occupied with programming. 

Skills:

Experience in sports 

Can work independently 

Strong technology skills

Social media proficiency

Collaboration

Work well with the public

Maintenance skills (cut grass, paint, clean)
